Health & Wellness Goodness Is Human Nature 4:18 PM Humans are innately good. It's in our nature. A baby wasn't born a bully or a racist. Goodness is human nature. We just forget. Maybe because along the way people treated us unjustly or hurt us badly that as a result, we let anger rule our emotions and cloud our judgment. You can't love someone who made you feel like trash. Maybe those around us tell us too often for too long that we are incapable, or not good enough, or that we will never amount to anything that it got ingrained in our minds. Goodness is Human Nature We are gold. But somehow life keeps kicking us down that we got covered in mud we forgot how shiny and precious we are inside. We forgot our identity: that we are born good. via Tumblr We need something or someone to remind us that we are good. We are enough. And that no matter how we think how little our contribution is, we count and we matter. I mean, think about the Butterfly Effect. It is the idea that small things like a flutter of a butterfly's wings, can cause as huge an impact as a hurricane on the other side of the world. That's how powerful it is. That's how powerful our choices are. So a simple effort such as choosing sustainable products can make a humongous difference to our planet. Using paper stem cotton buds over plastic might can save a turtle's life. Advocating on companies that are cruelty-free can save animals from misery and untimely death. Animals aren't put here on earth to suffer or die just so we can perfect that shade of red in our lipstick. Goodness is a choice. Every day we have an option which side to choose, how to react, how to help. For instance, our food can either nourish us or make us ill. What you put inside your body is solely up to you. Those who hurt us can either apologize or not. But to forgive them is all up to us. We can wait until our offender is dead before we forgive them. That is something we choose for ourselves. via Giphy The products we use on a daily basis can come from a company that has no regard for Mother Nature or one that prioritizes and sustains the planet's needs. As I get older, I've become more aware of what I can do to help make the world a better place. Every day, my desire to care for nature grows stronger. I've realized that our life the sum total of every single choice we make every day. What are you choosing? Goodness in the products we choose From consumer to advocate I've discovered Human Nature brand while looking for something new to try in the grocery store. I started as a fan. Then I became addicted to their products because it's SO good. The quality is comparable to leading and expensive brands but at a much lesser price. I buy whatever they release---even those that are for kids, because I just know they're all excellent and worth the money. Having read about wealthy mindset, I researched about them and decided to become a dealer. Only to avail the discount every time I buy. But then the brand is too good not to share. It is so easy to sell because people already know and can testify to how good it is. Let me tell you how awesome Human Nature is: They are cruelty-free. They don't test on animals. They're the first Filipino company that received a prestigious cruelty-free recognition from PETA. Now before I buy cosmetics or anything I consume, I ask first or look for that bunny. It maybe just a simple (or even unnecessary for some) kind of act, but for a beagle who can go blind during the testing or a mice that could die, it is their salvation. via Human Heart Nature They are pro-environment. They see to it that when you rinse off your shampoo or when your sunblock washes off to the sea, it doesn't harm the ocean or the planet in general. They are pro-poor. Human Nature helps give local farmers and unemployed mothers a chance to earn a living. According to their website: "As firm believers in fair trade principles, we offer to buy at just and fair prices from our community-based suppliers, sometimes even above market prices if the market price is not enough to provide a good quality of life for the farmers." They also support Gawad Kalinga which is a movement that has helped build homes for the poorest communities. It is their core belief "to end poverty by first restoring the dignity of the poor." They are pro-Philippines. The ingredients and raw materials they use are locally grown from the Philippines. In case you don't know, the Philippines is rich in natural resources which are mostly used for expensive products you see in the global market like coconut oil. Human Nature recognizes this fact and so they formulate products from here, buying from local suppliers, and using talents and skills of the locals. I am so glad and proud to be a part of this brand. They have the balance between excellence of their product plus a heart for those in need. The quality of their products can compete globally but the price is much more affordable. They generously give back to the community and to the planet. I think I hit the jackpot here. My Human Nature Online Dealer Shop is now open to serve you! I recently opened my very own online dealer shop! If you want to purchase, you can check out my Human Nature Lucky Shop (Love Nature). Listicle Helping A Loved One In Need 7:00 PM It can be heartbreaking to watch a friend or relative suffer, especially when all you want to do is help them. Unfortunately, it can be hard to know what to say or do when a loved one is living with a health condition, addiction, or personal problem. If you want to support them every step of the way with the problem, so they can live a happier life, read the below tips for helping a loved one in need. Helping a Loved One in Need Make Recommendations Gently It can be easy to believe you have all the solutions to your loved one’s problems when they are struggling. Rather than pushing your advice a friend or relative, you must take the time to listen to them without judgment. By doing so, he or she will be more likely to open up about a problem and turn to you in times of trouble. If you have finally encouraged a loved one to open up about how they are feeling, you should try not to railroad a conversation, as it might result in them shutting down. Instead, you should gently make recommendations in the conversation to helpfully guide them. For example, if they are living with depression, ask them open-ended questions that will push the conversation forward, such as “have you considered visiting a doctor or therapist?” Show Your Support It is important that your family member or friend knows you will be there for them every step of the way during a journey. For example, if a person living with an addiction is considering entering one of the best drug treatment centers, explain to them you would be more than happy to drive them to the facility, and you will pick them up once they have completed rehab. This small act will make a person feel not only loved and supported but optimistic about their future. Help Vulnerable Loved Ones Who Can’t Help Themselves There might be some people in your life that might be unable to articulate their emotions or needs. It is your responsibility as their loved one to help them when they cannot help themselves. For example, you might need to become a loved one’s power of attorney if they have been diagnosed with a form of dementia, or you might need to bring your pet pooch to the vet to diagnose what triggers seizures in dogs. Forgive them for Their Past Mistakes Unfortunately, many people can lash out at their nearest and dearest when living with a health complaint or addiction. Rather than holding onto an incident, you must learn to forgive them so they can truly move forward with their lives. Holding onto a grudge will not help your relationship in the long run, and it could make a problem feel ten times worse for a loved one. So, learn to let go of the past to create a healthier, happier, stronger relationship, which will help your loved one to effectively recover from an addiction, mental health condition, or a traumatic experience. There are rehabilitation centers in Arizona that are ready to help.

Dating How To Know If Your New Someone Is That Special Someone 8:00 AM It is important to make sure that you are not letting lust get in the way of you seeing clearly as to whether the new person in your life might truly be someone that is special to you. However, you might start to worry about whether you will know – if you will be able to spot the signs. Thankfully, you are getting the best advice now because the following information gives you a little insight into whether your new romantic partner might just be that special someone you will want to have around for a long time. How To Know If Your New Someone Is That Special Someone Pay Attention To The Gifts Given To You It is not so much about the money that is spent, but the thought that was put into it. Instead of an obvious gas station rose that was left in its original plastic, did he take it out and put it in a lovely vase for you? Better yet, did he spend the time picking the perfect themed box of luxury roses for you? If so, this might show you that this person is insightful, sensitive, and really cares about making sure that there is going to be a smile on your face. Consider The Pain Even if you really like this person, does this person hurt your feelings, tends to forget about you, or gives you the impression that they could really care less about what you want to do? That is very painful and no matter how many butterflies you feel floating around in your stomach when you lock eyes, if you are already dealing with a handful of disappointments so early in the relationship, it is not a good sign for your future together. You want someone that fits into your life as though they were made just for you. The Little Things Count If you are finding that you both set out to make each other happy through the little things, you might have a winner. Trying to consider the feelings of each other, talking through issues, and being able to truly forgive and let go are great signs that the two of you may be meant to be together for a long time – possibly the rest of your life! Time Will Tell Even after all of that, you might have to resort to the good old fashioned advice of “give it time” because after all, time will tell. You want to make sure that you and your partner have given the relationship enough time so you are out of the newness phase of the relationship. What is it going to be like when the glitter wears off and you are very used to being in the same routine with one another? If there is still love there and a deep connection, then you have a very good chance of sticking it out for a very long time. So make sure that you are taking the time to examine all of the previously mentioned points. And remember, what works for you may not work for others. Therefore, you do not want to make the mistake of listening to others when they tell you that your new partner is not good enough. Only you will know whether or not someone is the best person for your needs in life. This article was made possible by site supporter Jenna B. Hey, did you find this post helpful or entertaining? Life Lessons 10 Little Things You Can Do To Make The World A Better Place 3:43 PM No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. -AESOP You don't have to wear a cape or possess superpowers to save the world. There are just 10 little things you can do to make the world a better place. You don't have to invent a fascinating piece of technology to change people's lives tremendously. You can do simple acts in your everyday "mundane" life and make the world better than you found it. 10 Things You Can Do To Make The World Better 1. Pay someone a compliment or speak words of kindness. One kind word could mean so much to someone who's having a bad day. At least once in your life you've met someone who can say just the right words to turn things around, enlighten you, or help lift the burden that's been weighing you down. Someone who can make you feel awesome when you're feeling lousy. Why don't you be that someone to somebody today? Kind words are like honeysweet to the soul and healthy for the body. -Proverbs 16:24-33 2. Send a note, email, or text message to a friend. In the middle of a busy day, a simple and maybe short note asking the person how they're doing can make them pause and remember that life is not just about boring work. Knowing that someone thinks of you and cares enough to want to know how you're doing can be an instant mood booster.3. Do a random act of kindness to a stranger. Everyone seems preoccupied doing their own business. Break the ice. Help a stranger carry a heavy package. Give up your seat for someone who needs it more. Give a drink or a snack to the guard in your building or the traffic enforcer. Let the person behind you in a line go first as long as it won't cause others any inconvenience.4. Donate to charity. Your contribution can go a long way for those who need it. Bonus: What you give comes back to you a hundred folds. Your cup will never be empty.5. Organize a charity event or volunteer to one. Plan and initiate an activity that will bring a smile to those who can't pay you back. Throw a party in an orphanage. Schedule a day when you and your friends can spend with and serve the elderly. Set up a show to entertain persons with disability or children suffering from a terminal disease. Organize a cleanup day in your area. Sometimes, all the world needs is a little push for it to open its generous heart to the needy. 6. Say "hello" or initiate a conversation with the janitor, guard, or delivery guy. They work laboriously the whole day. A stranger stopping by to greet them and to make them feel valued and appreciated is enough to break their routine.7. Leave a generous tip, even to those who gave you a lousy service. Maybe the waiter who took your order and delivered your food is preoccupied because of some problems at home. Maybe he's running out of cash and he needs to pay for his kid's tuition. Or maybe that waitress is just having a PMS. As long as they weren't rude to you (in which case you may report them to the management), give them a tip that can bring a smile on their faces. Don't let other people's mood affect you and ruin your day. Giphy 8. Forgive your enemies. I will even go as far as saying pray for those who persecute you (Matthew 5:44). It is crazy. But the world needs crazy, less bitter souls and more forgiving ones. Forgiveness opens the door of blessings to come in, which anger and resentment have been blocking. Giphy 9. Respect the environment. You don't have to sweep the whole city. Just do your part in keeping your place clean. Don't throw your garbage anywhere. Participate in plant-a-tree events or do so in your own backyard. Recycle. You don't need to be Captain Planet to save the earth.10. Follow The Golden Rule. It's not called The Golden Rule for nothing. It is the basic, most important, general, ultimate rule for all. It's the simplest yet most powerful and effective way of living a peaceful life. Don't be one-sided. Treat others as you want to be treated. Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you. Life is as simple as that. Let's not complicate it. Never underestimate the power of one. Pay it forward. You can change the world and make it a better place one person, one little act of kindness at a time. Will you do it?

Travels When In Guimaras (Part 2) 7:00 AM Continuing my adventure when in Guimaras... Go island hopping! (Click individual photos to view in full size) Alubihod Beach Resort We planned on staying for 30 minutes max. But when we saw the place, we forgot about the time. Pristine water, white sand, and not as crowded as Boracay. We went for a day trip only, but in case you plan on staying, I've found these info for you. Cabugan Adventure Resort We stayed in Cabugan Adventure Resort. That's another boat ride from Jordan Guimaras, the main island. It's in Bgy. Tando, Sitio Duncaan, Nueva Valencia Guimaras. On the right side of the island is the beach that leads to the islands/islets we were to explore. On the left is a peaceful lake where you can kayak. And on the island is where you swing, and eat and be merry. I love to see dogs whenever I travel to unfamiliar places. They make me feel at home and safe. Isla Miguel Isla Miguel is where I did my first jump into the sea. Overlooking from Isla Miguel is one of the three Crocodile islands in the province. Floating Cottage Unfortunately, it's high tide when we came there that the sand bar is not visible. So we just swam some more, ate the famous Filipino dessert halo-halo, and rested for a bit before we resumed the island hopping. Guimaras Lighthouse, Taklong Island Another Guimaras Lighthouse with a spectacular view. According to our tour guide, there are about 200 islets around Taklong Island. It makes a perfect view when you're on top of the Lighthouse. Surrounding the lighthouse is a white sand beach with clear blue water. Guimaras Sandbar My most favorite island during the tour is their sandbar. Oh, it was immaculate. And I like that it's just us. Plus we went in the water and snorkel (no photos of that though). It's scary for me who can't swim but it was mesmerizing. Traveling is always good when you're with your favorite people Forgive me for not knowing the exact amount of the fare and the accommodation as the whole trip was part of surprise vacation my friends planned for me. I did gave my share but I wasn't part of the planning so I'm not too sure of the budget. Check out the links from other websites I provided for more details about the places. Next time you plan to travel and make it worth your while, Guimaras should be on your list. You can never go wrong when in Guimaras. These wonderful photos are from my friends' smartphones. Life Lessons How To Feel Good When You're Having A Bad Day 6:35 AM How to feel good when you're having a bad day? Is that even possible? Well, you can't always have it all. Things won't always go your way. That's part of life. But that doesn't mean you're not going to be okay. Here are ten ways you can turn that frown around.1. Take a step back or walk away for a while.Seeing things correctly is easier when you step back and look at things from a third person's perspective. Try to detach yourself from the situation when you're having a bad day. It will help you think clearly and see the bigger picture. 2. Do something you enjoy or love. Go out. Take a walk. Read a good book. Watch a feel-good film. Eat your favorite food. Browse through cute dog photos. When you're having a bad day, do something that can take your mind off what's bothering you, even for just a few hours. 3. Talk to your support team. You must have people in your life whom you can always count on when things go wrong. People who always lift your spirit up. When you're having a bad day, you need a solid team behind you to make you feel good. Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow - Swedish Proverb 4. Dance! You may not love dancing, but when you dance with abandon, happy hormones start pumping up, and you feel better afterward. That's because dancing has fantastic health benefits. Some people do yoga or work out. But I think dancing is so much more enjoyable. When you're having a bad day, turn up the volume of your jam and dance like no one is watching. Or follow Taylor Swift's advice: shake it off. 5. Write down your feelings. This one does magic. Writing down how you feel lightens the burden you carry as you unload it through the power of pen and paper. Or in our digital world, when you type it away. Try it to see for yourself. 6. Remember the good times. When was the last time you laughed so hard your tummy hurt?Remember when...? Remind yourself of the good times. If you're a Harry Potter fan like me, you know how the wizards drive away Dementors. They think of one moment when they felt truly, genuinely happy. And from that memory, they conjure a Patronus. That's where they get the strength to fight off that evil creature that tries to suck out their happiness and fill them with dread and misery. Which represents depression. Not familiar with the Patronus charm? How about Peter Pan? Remember how they fly? A little pixie dust plus happy thoughts. 7. Accept it. No matter how optimistic you try to be, things will sometimes go wrong. You may never receive that apology. Forgive them anyway. The sooner you accept the fact that life is not always fair, the easier it will be to go through the tough times. Life isn't perfect, so stop sweating the small stuff. 8. Pray/Worship/Meditate. It's hard to give thanks, pray, or worship when things aren't how we want them to. It's hard to focus and find your center. But "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Your heart changes when you pray. You humble yourself. You free yourself from those impossible to handle and allow the Miracle Worker to work in your life. You focus on what is really essential in life. And when you do, you realize that whatever makes your day terrible is but a tiny speck in the universe. 9. Hug your pet. That is, of course, if your pet is huggable or not, uhm, wild. Studies show dogs are therapeutic. Why not try getting yourself a furry friend? Their loyalty is beyond compare, too. 10. Remember that it's not permanent. Seasons change. Today may be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day like Alexander's, but it's only temporary. Experiencing loss, rejection, betrayal, or failure is all part of the package. It sucks, I know, but we wouldn't know our strength and our potential when everything is always okay. We'll never know what a good day is if bad days don't happen. We will not appreciate abundance if we have not experienced emptiness. When you're having a bad day, remember it's just what it is: a lousy day. It's not a bad life. At least it's not unless you make it. You still have a choice: wallow in misery or turn it around. You can always choose to feel good even when you're having a bad day. Trust me. I've had a bad day today, but I still wrote this. 😉 How do you handle a bad day? Do share in the comments! Linked here. Gifs from Giphy
