Most celebrities---and beauty and health experts say, the secret to a glowing skin is drinking water. Lots and lots of it. Water cleanses our system from toxins so it clears the skin. Water helps deliver the nutrients throughout our body. Water is a gift. Its power is underestimated and overlooked, but it's vital if you want to achieve the Hollywood look. Or you're not hot enough to keep him hooked. But, you're wrong. You are lovely. And you are enough. It's not your fault that he is not content. He never was and he never will be. It's not your fault that he is superficial. You are better off. It's not your fault that he couldn't see your worth. That doesn't change who you are. You deserve more than what he's giving you; his spare time, his leftover feelings, his insincere affection. If you only matter to him when he needs something from you, If he's only available when his friends aren't around, If he cares about his happiness more than your well-being... Girl, you're better off. You're better off than being used, being cheated on, being lied to and hurt in any way. Johnson 6:00 PM Listening to Love Again will let you forget about the crazy world for a bit, breathe calmness in and worry out, feel loved...and love again. I'm always on the look out for good music. Not just music with a good beat or rhythm, but that with beautiful lyrics too. Something, I could relate to. A song that my soul sings about or makes me think in a good way. That's what soulful artist Billy D. Johnson's latest album Love Again is about. If you haven't yet, you've got to listen to it. Now. I had the privilege to get to know the man behind this amazing music. Here's what we talked about. Interview with Soulful Artist Billy D. Johnson About the music: How long have you been writing music and what made you start? I started playing music when I was 13 years old. I probably didn't start writing my own music until I was around 16 or 17 though. I was first inspired to play because of my dad. Which instruments do you play? I mostly play the acoustic guitar, but I also play electric guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, and a little bit on the dulcimer. Impressive! What else do you like to do during past time? Recently, I've started exercising, but music is my main hobby. What is your first (or favorite, if you can't remember the first) memory of music? I think my favorite memory would have to be recently when I was asked to play a song I had written over 10 years ago in church called "Fingerprints". Is your family musical? Other than my dad, not really. Who is your biggest influence in music? My dad would have to be my biggest musical influence. Who is one famous music artist---dead or alive, that you would want to meet? I'd have to say Anna Kendrick. She sings and she's a cutie! Do you see music as something you can turn into a full time career, or just a hobby you can earn from on the side? I've always looked at it as just a hobby but the older I get, the more I'm leaning towards making a full time career out of it. About the man - Billy D. Johnson: How do you balance your life between music, personal life and your profession? It kind of all blends together. I roll out of bed and usually grab a flavored bottle of water and head straight to the studio. I need to learn to have more fun! What do you honestly tell yourself when you look in the mirror? I think when I look at myself in the mirror, besides thinking that I need to shave more often, I think that God has given me a great gift. I know that I've made it this far because of God and I'm thankful for all that he's done for me. What is your ultimate dream in life? That thing you always pray/hope for. Well, about 3 years ago I would've told you I wanted to get signed by a major record label. Now, I think I'd just rather someone famous record my songs so that I wouldn't have to travel as much, because ultimately, I want to get married and have kids one day. I'm 32 so it seems like I'm running out of time, but I'm still hopeful that there's someone out there looking for a goofball like me. I know in my heart that God has someone for me. I've just gotta wait until the timing is right to find her. I started just for fun and before I knew it, I had enough songs to make an album. This album is all about Love. To whom do you dedicate this album? When you have to deal with the latter, it can make baths a frustrating chore for everyone. If you are trying to get your little one to enjoy the bath a little more, it may be a simple fix like choosing a better baby wash or changing the time you have baths. Try some of our tips for a more peaceful bath time. Top Tips For Getting Your Child To Enjoy Bath Time Lots of Toys One of the best ways to get kids distracted from all the washing and start loving some time in the water is to fill up the tub with bath toys. Add some new ones to keep it interesting if they are getting bored. The tub is also a great place for temporary art too. Crayons and paint that are designed for tub use, and you can let your child let out their inner artist. Then just rinse it all away for mess-free fun. Another way to bring more toys into tub time is to allow your child to bring a favorite (waterproof plastic) doll and let them wash its hair too. Change the Time Kids aren't always in the mood for baths at your usual time, so you may find a more cheerful participant if you go with morning baths instead of evening ones (or vice versa). Just keep the player away from the water, just in case there is a lot of splashing going on. Get your kid singing along and they'll lose track of time and forget they're getting their hair washed at all. Change Your Products Maybe the shampoo stings too much if it get in their eyes, or they just don't like the smell of the soap you use. Find a fun and kid-friendly line of products and let your child pick the scents they like best. You can't go wrong with lots of bubbles or anything that colors the water while you're washing. And frankly, some children simply don't enjoy baths and water, and you may simply have to work around that. Keep them short, or even switch to showers for older kids. That may be more to their liking.
