Almonds are also one of the best sources of both vitamin B and E. Vitamin E helps in protecting your skin from the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun. It is also a good skin nourisher. Chia Seeds You may already be using these seeds as a smoothie ingredient, but you might not have known that they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. When the body pH levels get out of balance, your skin becomes dry and super sensitive. In most cases, your body can become too acidic as a result of consumption of processed food, alcohol, or beverages like coffee.Blueberries Blueberries are one of the best sources of antioxidants. Among the 40 common fruits that US Department of Agriculture studied, blueberries ranked top in terms of antioxidant activity. Other than antioxidants benefits, blueberries have a high amount of quercetin and anthocyanins, which have anti-inflammatory properties. For younger looking, glowing skin, consume a half a cup of blueberries every day. This is the findings that appeared in a study conducted by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. In this study, it was also mentioned that rice is actually one of the oldest cultivated and widely consumed crop in the entire world. The high population in Asia, especially in India and China, is linked to this theory. Rice is a crop that consumes a greater quantity of water. The abundant supply of water in lakes, rivers, monsoon rainfall, and canals contribute to the production. You might wonder whether or not rice is good for your baby. Without a doubt, it is! In this article, I will be giving you some of the top benefits of rice to your baby. Can I give rice to my baby? Yes, you can give rice to your baby. Rice is a low-allergen food and that makes it perfect for babies five to six months old. Benefits of Giving Rice to Your Baby There are lots of benefits that come with giving your baby rice. First, rice is a great source of vitamin B complex. Brown rice or whole rice is rich with vitamin B complex. These vitamins play a crucial function in your baby’s overall development including brain and physical development. The proteins present in rice are beneficial for your baby’s muscle development while the amino acids aid in rejuvenating the muscles following some contracting and stretching. The amino acids are likewise useful in building tendons and ligaments. Are you looking for foods that can boost your baby’s energy? Rice has it! Rice has a greater amount of calories compared to cereals. Since your baby and toddlers play most of the time, they need enough energy to prevent tiredness. Rice has a high amount of energy needed for strenuous physical work. If you are worried that rice can trigger constipation, don’t be. Rice is easily digestible. Hence, this is highly advantageous for babies because as little as they are, they still do not have the capacity to fully digest heavy foods. The weak digestive system of babies makes them incapable of digesting complex foods. With rice, digestion is smooth and easy. Have you tried rice with milk? If you haven’t yet, then, you should try and experience feeling rejuvenated. The same happens when you mix milk with rice. It rejuvenates your little one and gives him strength and energy to stay active throughout the day. The amino acids present in rice are enhanced when added with milk. Important Measures to Follow When giving rice to your baby, there are certain measures that you need to follow. First is the selection of rice. Choosing good rice is important to ensure your baby’s health. There are basically three varieties of rice - the long ones, the short-grained ones, and the medium ones. The medium and long ones are more expensive while the short-grained varieties are cheaper. In preparing the rice, flour is essential. Before you put rice to a boil, rinse it well and soak it for an hour for easy cooking purposes. Using a pressure cooker, cooking rice is even easier. There are other alternative methods to rice preparation such as dry roasting rice for at least five minutes and then grinding or pulverizing it to turn it into a power. The powder product can be kept for a month or two. The rice powder can act as a base ingredient. When feeding rice, add some sterile water to it to produce a puree. Add milk as desired and with your pediatrician’s recommendation. Adding soy milk is not ideal because it can produce allergies. Speaking of allergies, also check your baby for any presence of rashes or swelling of lips, mouth, or tongue, or any sense of dizziness. Do you wish to introduce brown rice to your baby? Health specialists suggest that brown rice is better compared to white rice. However, there is one thing that needs some consideration. Although brown rice is a great option and has lots of vitamins and minerals, it likewise has fibrous layers that make it hard for babies to digest. Hence, it is advisable to wait until your little one reaches three to four years old before giving him brown rice. Final Words The time when your baby can eat rice is the time when you also need to be extra cautious of the foods you are feeding him. Dating Why Some Men Date Older Women: The Appeal To Date Older Women 8:00 AM You will find a number of reasons why some men date older women. When men are dating a more mature woman you need to look at the age group as relative. It’s truly just a number and there are more essential factors to some romantic relationship; compatibility and communication, besides just your age group. You will experience a bit of a generation gap but this is normal and should be expected. These differences can really make a romantic relationship exciting as you are able to explore what each of you likes. You might find that you are trying things you didn't think you would, but enjoying yourself as well. Think of it as both of you broadening your horizons. Why Some Men Date Older Women Older women also often possess the self-assurance that some younger ladies are lacking. Many men will appreciate this confidence as they can find a lack of confidence in younger ladies really unappealing and frustrating. Older ladies realize the significance of producing a great impression. More mature ladies are also more financially independent and will not expect you to pay for everything. They have worked hard for their finances and won’t squander them but are willing to share expenses with you. There are even some aged women that appreciate younger men and shower them with gifts. However, there are also some more mature women who will be looking for this so make certain you know what you want when in a romantic relationship. Finances will differ depending on the individual and their background. Women today also aren’t worried about the social stigma of dating younger men. While ladies date more aged men all the time, it was once considered bad taste for men to date older women. In this day and age, this is not such an issue anymore. Fashion & Style How To Take Care Of Dyed Hair 8:00 PM If you've just colored your hair and you want to keep it healthy, shiny, and colored for a long time, here are some expert tips. How To Take Care Of Dyed Hair Seal In Your New Color When hair has just been colored, its cuticle is still open and porous. The best way to seal hair color into the cuticle is with heat. Using heat on newly colored hair is usually discouraged, but it is extremely beneficial for closing the cuticle with the color so it doesn't get washed out or fade with sunlight or any other external force. Have your hairstylist completely dry and flat iron your hair before you leave. Heat styling hair after coloring adds shine, keeping it from developing a dull look over time. Don't wash your hair for 48 hours after you leave the salon. The hair cuticle is still porous in the first 48-72 hours after a hair color process. Use Color Shampoo and Conditioner Avoid using cleansing or purifying shampoos after your hair color treatment. Color-treated shampoos are designed specifically for colored hair to keep it from pulling the color out. Shampoo less frequently, and apply the shampoo to the scalp, not the entire strand. Your head is what secretes the oil, not the tips of your hair, so if you're shampooing the base of your scalp you will keep your hair clean without over-washing the color. Avoid hard water which which can discolor hair and cause it to fade faster. Moisture shampoos help keep the hair shiny and the color fresh by returning the moisture to it, fighting dryness and over-cleansing. Use cold water to wash your hair. Hot water strips the hair and scalp of its natural oils and makes it look drier. Protecting Hair During Styling Leave-in conditioners, specifically ones designed for color-treated hair, are lifesavers for color treated hair when styling. If you want to style your hair after coloring, find a leave-in or heat protectant spray to coat your hair with it. There are UV protectant products that will protect your hair from sun exposure. Generally avoiding heat styling whenever possible will keep your hair from drying out. Vitamins and Supplements Hair health is largely dependent on vitamins. Taking Vitamin C, Vitamin B and Biotin will increase your natural hair health. Color Retouch Frequency and Regular Trims Frequently coloring your hair exposes it to the risk of overdrying. Touch up your color every six to eight weeks, or longer if you can. Don't double process your hair with highlights or relaxers or per solution shortly after coloring your hair, and keep in mind that treating your hair with two different chemical treatments greatly increases the chance of it becoming dry, dull, and lifeless. Taking care of your hair with washing, heating, and styling will greatly increase the lifetime of your color and the overall health of your hair. Follow these steps and you will maintain beautiful healthy color treated hair for a long time.
