Beauty How To Define Your Cheekbones In 4 Simple Steps 8:00 AM Having beautifully defined and high cheekbones can enhance your facial structure. But do you know how to define your cheekbones if you've not been gifted with Hollywood-worthy bone structure? Online tutorials have numerous steps and countless expensive products to achieve those defined cheekbones of Keira Knightley or Naomi Campbell. The good news is that defining cheekbones doesn't have to be complicated. Or costly. You can create a structured look on your face and define your cheekbones with makeup, a little time and effort in four simple steps. Step 1: Locate your cheekbones. Before defining your cheekbones, you must figure out exactly where they are on your face. The easiest way to do this is by sucking your lips together like a fish to create hollows in your cheeks.Place a finger in the hollow of your cheek for each side and slide it up until it contacts the underlying bone. This is the area where you should apply contouring.Step 2: Create the base.Apply a darker foundation or powder than you usually use along your cheekbones, bringing it toward the middle of your face. Ensure that your cheekbones and the apples are covered with the foundation that suits your skin tone.Blend them all together using a soft brush or a beauty blender. Step 3: Apply a cream blush.Create a brighter, more alert look by applying a small amount of cream blush to the apples of your cheeks. Step 4: Use a highlighter to add the definition. To accentuate and make your cheekbones look high, apply a shimmering highlighter across the top of the bone, starting at the outer edge of the eye and sweeping it upward toward the temples. Fashion & Style 5 Tips For Beach Ready Hair 8:00 PM If you’re lucky enough to be jetting away to sunnier climates this summer, or even if you’re staying at home, chances are you’ll be spending time at the beach at some point or other – even hanging out round the swimming pool. Now, some of us are completely blessed with the type of hair that just gleams, no matter what we do with it. The type of hair that can be immersed in sea water or the pool for hours yet still dries perfectly in the sun. Others aren’t so blessed and the thought of going to the pool with hair like a scarecrow is more of a reality! If this sounds like you – you don’t need to worry anymore because we have some great tips for stunning, beach-ready hair that will take you from beach to pool to bar without you needing to disappear indoors wondering what you can do to re-style without starting from scratch! Source: Instagram 5 Tips For Beach Ready Hair Before we start, you’ll need a few hair products and hair tools. Firstly, as you’re going into the sun a very good quality professional hair shampoo and conditioner is a must. Buy one which suits your hair type, and avoid those with sulphate as an ingredient because this can build up on your scalp and cause irritation. Invest in a hair treatment product to re-hydrate dry hair, especially important after a day at the beach. Take Moroccan or Argan oil with you and always have a heat protecting spray in your suitcase. If you can, avoid any heated styling tools but we know this is very difficult in reality, so buy tools of good quality with ceramic, tourmaline or titanium coating to limit any stress on your hair when styling. For instance, a quality ceramic straightening brush is less damaging than using daily a classical straightener. Take a selection of hair scrunchies, bands and pretty clips with you because even the simplest of styles can look different with a few cute hair accessories. Finally – take a hat – a sexy braid peeking out the bottom of a big floppy hat is sometimes all you need to look like the pool’s glamour puss! You should always rinse out your hair after using the pool or being in the sea because the chemicals of the pool and the salt water of the sea can play havoc with the condition of your hair and if you have coloured hair it could alter it. Before you go to the beach use a heat protecting spray especially if you aren’t going to be wearing a hat, this will protect hair from the harmful UVA and UVB rays. Here are some easy hairstyle ideas for beach hair: 1. Simply pony tail – always fail-safe, keeps hair out of the way and is a very comfortable way of wearing hair in the sun. Add some pretty clips to make hair more interesting and if you want to change your pony tail, give hair at your forehead some lift, fix this area with clips and then tie the rest back. For an easy update, tie your pony tail to the side and if it’s long enough, braid it, use a slim ribbon through the braid to match your swimwear for a pretty twist. 2. While on the subject of braids, why not add in lots of little braids to your hair and tie them all back behind your head? This is a soft and pretty way to wear beach hair. 3. Braid your hair before you go to bed and in the morning loosen out the braids for cute waves. Separate the curls using your fingers and apply a little serum to tame any flyaway hair. You could wear your hair half up with this style too for a tousled, casual and carefree look. 4. If you really can’t find any way of wearing your hair by the pool, wash it, condition it and comb a treatment through it. Slick a little styling cream through too and secure it at the nape of your neck for a sultry, chic poolside look. 5. Using a slim hair band, push the front of your hair back and then with the slim end of a comb, gently pull a little hair through at the front to give it some lift. Secure the back in a messy bun using bobby pins or a pony tail twisting the end of the pony tail around itself and fixing with pins. Fashion & Style How To Show Off Your Personality With Accessories 8:00 AM How To Show Off Your Personality With Accessories Creating a unique style statement can be challenging. Many people want to reflect their personality in their fashion. If you want people to know little about you at first glance, choose the accessories you wear with your outfits wisely. Here's a guide with a few options when accessorizing your wardrobe to always show off your personality. 1. Wear Unique, Stylish Sunglasses There are unique women's and men's designer sunglasses on the market. You could choose bold-colored frames so that the glasses stand out when someone sees you wearing them. The shape of the frames of your sunglasses can significantly impact your overall look. Try on a few different styles before choosing a pair of sunglasses regularly. 2. Accessorize with HatsHats are more than just a functional accessory; they are a powerful fashion statement that can convey your personality, interests, and style. Whether you prefer a sleek fedora, a casual baseball cap, Richardson Hats (perhaps that you have even customized yourself), or a chic wide-brimmed hat, wearing the right hat can add that extra personality and style to your look.By selecting the right hat to complement your outfit, you can create a cohesive look that reflects who you are. So next time you're putting together an outfit, remember to top it off with a hat and let your personality shine through. Whether it's a casual day out or a special occasion, embrace the versatility of hats and use them to enhance your fashion statement.3. Wear Bold Belt Buckles Belt buckles are available in many different sizes, designs, and colors, so you can really let your unique personality show when you wear them. In addition, removable buckles can be placed on a belt and replaced with a different hook whenever you choose. This can be a great way to customize your look daily without purchasing multiple belts. 4. Wear Shoes with Flare The shoes you wear say a lot about you. For example, a great pair of tennis shoes will depict your personality if you are more casual and laid back. On the other hand, if you are more regimented or business-serious, some dress shoes may better fit you. Be sure that the shoes you wear show off your personality in design and color. Step out of your comfort zone occasionally and try on shoes you would not typically wear. A unique pair of shoes may give you the confidence to let your personality shine more than it usually does. 5. Wear Eye-Catching Jewelry Use jewelry to finish off a look. For example, you can wear a large designer watch for the status quo or a necklace with a religious medallion to show your beliefs. In addition, jewelry can be a great way to let people know intricate details about you without saying a word.Accessorize and Show Off Who You AreShowing off your personality through the accessories you wear is fun. You may not want to wear flashy items, but adding a few unique additions to any outfit will allow you to create a customized look that lets your personality show off. We have put together a list of summer must-haves to help you get through the rising temperatures in style. Beat the Heat with These Fun Summer Essentials 1. Floral Sundress Make the most of flower power and pick up a sheer sundress with a pop of yellow or orange, as you take to the streets. Team it up with statement flats, reflector sunglasses and a cross-body bag to complete the look. Let the refreshing floral print soothe the eye. Sundresses will never fail you, be it for a casual evening out, or a lunch date, you can dress these beauties up or down to suit the look for the day! 2. Pastel Shorts Don’t we just love pastels hues? Slip on a pair of pastel shorts with a spaghetti top and sneakers for an ideal beach outing. To add to your feel-good factor, throw on a large chic tote bag with all your essentials and you’re set to go within minutes. Don’t forget to splurge on a good number of sunscreen tubes as you go! 3. Maxi Dresses Maxi dresses never go out of vogue. This summer, find a loose, flowing, striped maxi in an earthy shade instead of the form-fitting ones we usually go for. These breezy dresses can enhance your look and be casual at the same time. Add some bangles, a long neckpiece, a straw hat and a pair of tan sandals for a stylishly done up look. 4. Distressed Denims They’re a garment for every season, really. But the distressed look with frayed hems especially suits the summers! Put on a ruffle top and some wedges for a fancy night out, or a colourful tank and canvases for the day. Throw on a tan pair of ankle boots and a loose summer blazer for work or for a sober, semi-formal event. You can style them every which way to suit the occasion. 5. Skirts and Wraps From minis to maxis, wraps to tubes, skirts are a summer staple each year! Midis are growing really popular too. Pair a button down shirt with a flowy midi and heels for a glamourous look. Or pull on a loose tank, tie it at the waist and pair it a denim mini skirt. A cropped white tee on a high-riser, with a cap and flip-flops can make for a low-key street look. There are so many ways to go about these, so experiment with them and come up with your own unique styles. 6. Crop Top and Bustier Top We love our crop tops, and a popular variety this summer is the fancy bustier top. You can wear these over jeans, skirts, pants or shorts and they’ll make any look effortlessly stylish. Whether you like them strapless or with spaghetti straps, show off your feminine side and flaunt your curves with bustier tops this season! Crop tops of all shapes and sizes are in, with halter necks and drop shoulders to add that subtle charm to them. 7. Cold-shoulder and Tube Tops Do a casual or fancy look with a cold-shoulder top with a pair of skinny jeans. This variety of the off-shoulder is popular with all ages. It is figure-flattering, yet comfortable and it suits almost everyone since most women have beautiful shoulders. Tube tops have made a welcome comeback this year. Style them up with a pair of printed shorts or coloured trousers and show off some skin gracefully! 8. Palazzos These super comfy, flowy pants are perfect for the summer heat. Sport a nonchalant look by wearing a striped palazzo with a plain basic tee or a lace crop top with printed palazzo pants. These wide-legged pants are a popular summer delight for a day out with friends or even for the beach. You can dress them up for a date at night or an early morning walk too! Pleated, printed or plain, palazzo pants are the talk of the season. 9. Overall From ripped denim to cotton to linen, overalls are the most funky and youthful outfits of the lot. They might remind you of your childhood, but adult overalls are super trendy and they really give you a flattering silhouette. Be it short one pieces or full-length dungarees; when styled well, these pieces make you stand out. Wear a white tee with a denim jumpsuit or a striped tank with a white overall-inspired one piece for your summertime pursuits. Welcome the summer with these stunning, fashionable and trendy outfits. With the stunning collection at Shoppers Stop give your wardrobe a glamorous summer makeover and fill it up with easy to slip-on, casual, and stylish outfits. Fashion & Style How To Take Care Of Dyed Hair 8:00 PM If you've just colored your hair and you want to keep it healthy, shiny, and colored for a long time, here are some expert tips. How To Take Care Of Dyed Hair Seal In Your New Color When hair has just been colored, its cuticle is still open and porous. The best way to seal hair color into the cuticle is with heat. Using heat on newly colored hair is usually discouraged, but it is extremely beneficial for closing the cuticle with the color so it doesn't get washed out or fade with sunlight or any other external force. Have your hairstylist completely dry and flat iron your hair before you leave. Heat styling hair after coloring adds shine, keeping it from developing a dull look over time. Don't wash your hair for 48 hours after you leave the salon. The hair cuticle is still porous in the first 48-72 hours after a hair color process. Use Color Shampoo and Conditioner Avoid using cleansing or purifying shampoos after your hair color treatment. Color-treated shampoos are designed specifically for colored hair to keep it from pulling the color out. Shampoo less frequently, and apply the shampoo to the scalp, not the entire strand. Your head is what secretes the oil, not the tips of your hair, so if you're shampooing the base of your scalp you will keep your hair clean without over-washing the color. Avoid hard water which which can discolor hair and cause it to fade faster. Moisture shampoos help keep the hair shiny and the color fresh by returning the moisture to it, fighting dryness and over-cleansing. Use cold water to wash your hair. Hot water strips the hair and scalp of its natural oils and makes it look drier. Protecting Hair During Styling Leave-in conditioners, specifically ones designed for color-treated hair, are lifesavers for color treated hair when styling. If you want to style your hair after coloring, find a leave-in or heat protectant spray to coat your hair with it. There are UV protectant products that will protect your hair from sun exposure. Generally avoiding heat styling whenever possible will keep your hair from drying out. Vitamins and Supplements Hair health is largely dependent on vitamins. Taking Vitamin C, Vitamin B and Biotin will increase your natural hair health. Color Retouch Frequency and Regular Trims Frequently coloring your hair exposes it to the risk of overdrying. Touch up your color every six to eight weeks, or longer if you can. Don't double process your hair with highlights or relaxers or per solution shortly after coloring your hair, and keep in mind that treating your hair with two different chemical treatments greatly increases the chance of it becoming dry, dull, and lifeless. Taking care of your hair with washing, heating, and styling will greatly increase the lifetime of your color and the overall health of your hair. Follow these steps and you will maintain beautiful healthy color treated hair for a long time. Fashion & Style 5 Simple Steps To Become Albus Dumbledore In Terms Of Beard 8:00 PM Good Evening! I know it will please some of you to know that I almost titled this article '5 simple steps to become Jack Sparrow', while it will please the rest knowing that I realized most people are into Witchcraft and Wizardry rather than Piracy. Haha! Joking aside, growing a bear or even a mustache is a process that involves a lot of patience and perseverance. And the reason I'm saying this is because it depends and varies on the hormonal levels of each and everyone of you. But no matter what your genetics show you, the following steps will DEFINITELY speed the process up. 5 Simple Steps To Become Albus Dumbledore. In Terms Of Beard, Of Course! Personal Hygiene and Body care The rate of hair growth is directly proportional to your body health and nutrition. Start by eating more foods as fish, eggs, and meat. All in all, proteins. Another great thing that would be extremely helpful is the growing the urge to exercise and getting proper sleep each night. With the proper nutrients flowing in your digestive system, a proper circulation to your facial hair is definitely improved by your exercise. Wash your face regularly. Scrub it, preferably. Don't hurt yourself. Again, proteins, nuts (peanuts, hah.), fruits and greens are the most important diet you'd need to follow. More nutrition Increasing the vitamin supply is an extremely helpful way for rapidly growing your facial hair. Mixed with your greens' diet, this will be an excellent way to provide each hair follicle with the required supplements. I recommend a multi-vitamin drug containing Vitamin B6, beta-carotene and Vitamin C. I'd say go with Centrum or Biotin. Consult a doctor first. Leave it alone It will be itchy. It will look nasty. It may look disgusting. Do not trim. Do not shave. I repeat, a lot of people my tell you that shaving it off regularly might make it grow thicker and hairier, it's not true. One thing I have learned in Med-school, it's that each hair follicle stimulates the growth of the nearby follicle, so let them grow and do their thing. Strengthen your beard Do not give up on it. Endure the itchiness and the scratchiness. If you're not serious about growing a beard, the discomfort will make you shave it right away. Products I do not recommend the usage of hair growth products, some of them may be cancerous. (They stimulate excessive growth) yet, with the suitable consult of a doctor, you can use them. Summing it up, your genetics will determine how hard you're gonna work for your beard to grow so don't get discouraged if you see slow progress or a mixture of hairy-non-hairy areas. The previous steps are guaranteed to give you a push. And remember, cutting it too soon will definitely slow the growth pattern. Thank you all for taking time and reading this! Don't forget to comment with your question in the comments' section, I will make sure I answer all of them personally. This may contain affiliate links. Fashion & Style Shop Stylish Women's Wear 8:00 PM Shop for Stylish Women's Wear Finding great fashions when you’re a woman with curves can be difficult, even if the fashion industry has started embracing plus sized fashions in the past couple of years. After all, a lot has happened in terms of curvier ladies becoming more visible and their bodies being viewed as desirable and sexy, and things have come a long way even since 2014 - plus size model Ashley Graham has graced the cover of Sports Illustrated and there’s a whole lot more discussion around body positivity than there was even a few years ago. Body positivity itself is a simple concept - anyone can be beautiful, regardless her size - but it’s somewhat difficult to embrace when you’ve grown up hearing about how you need to lose weight to look good and that you should be ashamed of your body. Fat shaming is psychologically damaging, and it’s a great thing that now things are starting to come around and women no longer must conform to some unattainable standard to look and feel beautiful. Still, it can be difficult to know what looks great on you and where to find it when you’ve spent most of your life being bombarded with negative messages about your body. Thus, you might need some inspiration as far as shopping for stylish women’s wear goes so that you can find something that you look stunning in. Great Styles that are Also Affordable Finding great fashions that are also affordable is difficult enough on its own, and when you’re a plus size gal looking for great fashions this can be infinitely harder. You might have tried going to your local Walmart, but that’s not really the best option for finding the best styles over something that’s cheap and looks it. If you want gently used full-figure clothing, you do have a few options out there for finding some great looks. Used clothing is of course an affordable way to get great fashions, but if you’re particularly curvy you might have some trouble finding much in your local thrift store - but then this is where going online can help you out a bit. You can get a wider selection, and as far as used clothing is concerned there’s a lot more variety as to where it comes from than would be the case if you limited yourself just to what you can find near where you live. Blogs Can Inspire You Different styles of clothing suit different body types, and there are a lot of great fashion blogs out there which demonstrate to curvy women some styles that you can look absolutely stunning in there even if it might not have occurred to you. If the fashion industry ignored different body types over the years except for anyone who’s skinny and white, the recent acceptance of other bodies as being beautiful still comes with some limiting views of what’s flattering - views that aren’t necessarily founded in truth. There are definitely certain styles which are more flattering for curvy women, but because everyone’s body is different there’s no reason to think that a particular style won’t suit you just because of the way you’re shaped unless you try it out - you might well be surprised at what you actually look good in - there are thousands of items out there in sizes 12 - 34 that have been gently worn and flatter curvy women’s bodies. Size is Important Depending on your shape, there are inevitably certain styles that you'll look good in. It's difficult to suggest one thing or the other based on size alone, because everyone's body is shaped differently and just because you're a bit curvy doesn't mean that you look like other women with curves. For instance, if you're curvy but have a small waist then hourglass figures will look great on you, but if you don't have a tiny waist then you might be better off in something like a maxi dress or a wraparound. When you’re selecting clothing, it’s important to shop for the right size - already a complicated affair because sizes vary so much by brand, but this gets even more difficult when you go online since it’s not like you can try something on before purchasing it. Thus, it’s very important to understand how sizes work and what they mean before you buy something, if you want to be sure that it fits you - you should know exactly what size charts mean. Many styles that suit curvy women are relatively free fitting - maxi dresses and wraparounds are great because they can look great on a variety of body types and you don’t have to worry too much if the size is a slight bit off from what you might have thought. Conclusion Discovering great styles for a great price can be easy if you know where to look, and you’ll have little trouble finding something that also fits you well if you follow the size charts. Beyond that, finding great fashions that flatter your body essentially boils down to your aesthetic choices - and if you’re unsure of what looks good on your body type there’s no dearth of blogs that you can look at for aesthetic inspiration. Quite simply, you shouldn’t assume that you can’t find stylish women’s wear that’s also affordable just because you’re not shaped like the average supermodel - and gently used fashions can be a great option for this. Fashion & Style Makeup Trends You'll be Seeing Everywhere This Spring 8:00 AM Although January 1st is the mark of a new beginning, it seems there is a global unspoken agreement that when it comes to trends, whether they regard to fashion, makeup, or even food, spring is the cut-off season. This is the time to clear up our closets, make room for new trends, and reflect on the choices filling your makeup bag. Perhaps you will be throwing out some products and replacing them with new ones dictated by this new season. To help you select products and the techniques that will be ruling the streets, we have created a list of makeup trends you'll be seeing everywhere this spring, and you are bound to love it. All about them Lips, ‘bout them Lips Unlike a couple of years, during which the only acceptable word in the lipstick department seemed to be ‘matte’, this new era appears to be more open to versatility in the texture and shade department. Glossy lips are finally making a comeback, returning the shining and youthful look of the lip, which in all honesty, is more nourishing and has a larger kiss appeal. The gloss can be sheer in bold pink shades and nude hues, so anything that matches your skin tone will work perfectly. For all those super-bold gals who love to play with makeup and are not afraid of flaunting lips that might have earlier been considered an ‘over-kill’, this spring allows you to let your creativity soar, as glittery lips in metallic hues could not be more in. If you were looking to make a statement, it does not get any better. If you have not yet updated your makeup bag, it is high time you head to an online makeup store and upgrade that makeup kit now if you want to keep up and be a spring queen. The final item on the lip front is the color red. Some types of lips continue to defy trends and hold their ‘it’ position no matter what, and red is one of them. All the ‘classic red lip’ ladies can breathe a sigh of relief; your staple shade is safe and sound. When you put on that red lip, the rest of the face remains bare, and your lips are the sole focus. Something Old, Something New, Something Blue If you have mastered winged liner, your efforts have not been in vain. The liner is still going strong. If you have not, then hop to it! The best way to rock it this season is to start from the middle of your upper lid and end in a dramatic wing. If this is not your area of expertise, worry not because the imperfect liner is the new perfect. Eccentric and electric-look-loving ladies also have something to rejoice about, as vivid blue and pink liners and eye shadows will be the absolute bomb this year. And when speaking of brave new looks, white shadows in creamy textures have been spotted on runways and are quickly taking over the streets, so this might be worth the try if you are willing to experiment a bit. Pure and Wholesome Some things never change, so even as the seasons do, no-makeup makeup stays right where it is. BB creams, mid-coverage foundations, neutral eye-opening eye shadows, and barely glossy nude lips can still be your go-to look. Ensure you do a good job in the ‘tame and frame’ brow arena, as strong but managed brows are still the main point of this ‘next-to-nothing’ look. Now that you have gathered spring makeup wisdom, shop, try new things, perfect old techniques, and enjoy your spring gals.
