Not just music with a good beat or rhythm, but that with beautiful lyrics too. Something, I could relate to. A song that my soul sings about or makes me think in a good way. That's what soulful artist Billy D. Johnson's latest album Love Again is about. If you haven't yet, you've got to listen to it. Now. I had the privilege to get to know the man behind this amazing music. Here's what we talked about. Interview with Soulful Artist Billy D. Johnson About the music: How long have you been writing music and what made you start? I started playing music when I was 13 years old. I probably didn't start writing my own music until I was around 16 or 17 though. I was first inspired to play because of my dad. Which instruments do you play? I mostly play the acoustic guitar, but I also play electric guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, and a little bit on the dulcimer. Impressive! What else do you like to do during past time? Recently, I've started exercising, but music is my main hobby. What is your first (or favorite, if you can't remember the first) memory of music? I think my favorite memory would have to be recently when I was asked to play a song I had written over 10 years ago in church called "Fingerprints". Is your family musical? Other than my dad, not really. Who is your biggest influence in music? My dad would have to be my biggest musical influence. Who is one famous music artist---dead or alive, that you would want to meet? I'd have to say Anna Kendrick. She sings and she's a cutie! Do you see music as something you can turn into a full time career, or just a hobby you can earn from on the side? I've always looked at it as just a hobby but the older I get, the more I'm leaning towards making a full time career out of it. About the man - Billy D. Johnson: How do you balance your life between music, personal life and your profession? It kind of all blends together. I roll out of bed and usually grab a flavored bottle of water and head straight to the studio. I need to learn to have more fun! What do you honestly tell yourself when you look in the mirror? I think when I look at myself in the mirror, besides thinking that I need to shave more often, I think that God has given me a great gift. I know that I've made it this far because of God and I'm thankful for all that he's done for me. What is your ultimate dream in life? That thing you always pray/hope for. Well, about 3 years ago I would've told you I wanted to get signed by a major record label. Now, I think I'd just rather someone famous record my songs so that I wouldn't have to travel as much, because ultimately, I want to get married and have kids one day. I'm 32 so it seems like I'm running out of time, but I'm still hopeful that there's someone out there looking for a goofball like me. I know in my heart that God has someone for me. I've just gotta wait until the timing is right to find her. I started just for fun and before I knew it, I had enough songs to make an album. This album is all about Love. To whom do you dedicate this album? Good quality as well. Mostly, my problem with wristwatches is that it's loose for my small wrist. But this adjusts to fit my wrist perfectly. Charming design. One earring though looks as though it's a little bent. Verdict: You've got 4 rings and 4 pair of earrings to choose from. So for the price of $5.22, I think it's a steal. I like the floral one the most. What I like most about Zaful is that the items on their website are descriptive. You know what kind of material to expect for your order. They post the reviews of the customers so you get to decide if it's worth ordering it or not. The size chart is also available for your reference. The items are handled properly. The accessories were packed in a bubble wrap. The products are not perfect (as mentioned in the verdicts). The delivery took longer than I expected. So far that's the only problem I've got. But maybe the delay is because I'm in the Philippines and the shipping time may be different for your country. Overall, I still recommend this site for your next online shopping. It's the perfect time to submerge in the pristine clear waters of the Philippine beaches, and sink my feet in the white sand to relax. But, this summer I dream of going to a cool place. Someplace different from my usual summer destinations. This year, I want my summer escapade to be an escape from everything that screams of summer. Away from the heat of the sun. Away from the sand on my feet, and the smell of salt in the air. This year, I dream of going to Japan. Dream Summer Destination: Japan Why Japan? Inside the magic Ghibli Museum Speaking of magic, who didn't fall in love with the magical world of Hayao Miyazaki? The moment I saw Spirited Away and learned about Ghibli Museum, I knew I have to go there before I die. I'd like to visit Kiki's Bakery, see Howl's Moving Castle and Castle in the Sky exhibits, and step into the fantastic creations of Mr. Miyazaki. Tofugu Hachiko As a dog foster parent, I know the depth of a dog's love, loyalty and dedication. The most popular story of which is of Hachiko's. No, I can't watch the movie. I might get a breakdown. But I want to see and give my reverence to the great Hachiko in his well-deserved and honored monument. Pinterest Castles and temples There are a lot of astonishing architectures in Japan. Most of which are their castles and temples that could rival and easily beat their modern buildings in beauty anytime.
