Maleficent represents every one of us. Maleficent was born good. She believed in the goodness of men before she was betrayed. She did not hurt anyone. The concept of betrayal was foreign to her. This left her lost and wrathful. She wallowed in her pain and hatred. She shut the world out and became vindictive. I’ve read stories like this. About villains who used to be good. Until something awful happened to them. For Maleficent, it was losing faith both in love and in humanity. It was the betrayal that pushed her to be vengeful and curse the life of her perpetrator. Hurting people tend to do outrageous and illogical things. 2. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Maleficent had a choice like all f us. She lets her emotions control her or master her feelings and control her. It’s not easy to stay calm when you’ve given yourself only to be taken advantage of. 3. Life has a twisted sense of humor. What she despised and was obsessed with turned out to be why she changed. This is another proof that behind every burden is a blessing. In every trial, there lies a treasure.
