Books Book Review: The Last Time by Nicole Baker 5:51 PM I had the privilege of beta reading for one of my favorite romance authors. I’m here to share my book review of The Last Time by Nicole Baker.Book SummarySunshine girl Charlotte inherits her childhood lake house, brimming with happy and painful memories. She returns after 10 years and plans a quick fix-up, sell-off, and never turning back. But old friends and a sizzling reunion with her teenage crush, Mr. Fix-It-All Asher, throw a wrench in her plans.Asher, a single dad hardened by grief, didn’t think love was in the cards again. But Charlotte’s sunshine might just melt his icy exterior. Can they move on and make a life together if they can’t let go of past hurts?TropesSmall-town romanceTeenage crushAge gapBest friend’s brotherClose proximitySingle dadSpicyDual POVThe Last Time by Nicole Baker Book ReviewThis easy read made me smile, laugh, swoon, and cry a little. The Last Time by Nicole Baker is a heartwarming—and spicy—romance novel, but it’s not just about finding love when you least expect it. It’s a journey of forgiveness, acceptance, and the courage to begin again. It’s a touching story about healing, the importance of letting go of the past, and holding on to what brings you joy.Rating⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶🌶🌶What I likeNicole’s Writing StyleThis book was a breeze to read. The writing is clean and straightforward, with no flowery language or head-scratching sentences to slow you down. It’s like the author tells you a story over coffee - easy to follow and keeps you engaged. The pacing is spot-on, not too fast, not too slow. You just get sucked into the world, and it feels natural. This author just lets the story shine through, making you want to turn the pages to see what happens next.Plot TwistThe story throws a surprising curveball about Asher’s past that had me guessing until the reveal. It’s a clever twist that keeps you invested in the unfolding mystery.TenorCharlotte’s House/The SettingI’d love to escape to the idyllic Isle of Hope, a charming small town with a glistening lake as its heart. I can imagine cozy evenings by the water, a book in hand, or watching the sunset with my husband. CharlotteDespite a painful family past, her resilience shines through. She’s an inspiration for anyone who’s ever had to pick up the pieces and rebuild.AsherHe may not be likable on the surface, but don’t let Asher’s gruff exterior fool you. Underneath the layers of grief and loss is a devoted father and a kind heart. PinterestHouse MetaphorFor me, the story beautifully uses the restoration of Charlotte’s childhood home as a metaphor for the emotional healing of both Charlotte and Asher. As they rebuild the house, they rebuild themselves, finding strength and love in the process.Side CharactersThe sparks between Josh and Layla add a sizzling layer of secondary romance to the story. Their playful banter hints at a future love story waiting to unfold. And I’m here for it! What could be improved? This first book does a great job establishing the central romance, but I craved a deeper introduction to the supporting characters. A few well-placed hints about their personalities would have left me even more excited to dive into the next installment and explore their potential storylines.YaytextQuotes“One of my gifts was the ability to tune out the world in my emotions. I’m not saying it’s healthy, but it works for me.”“How do you grieve the loss of someone that you lost a long time ago?”“Who would have thought that having Charlotte Bates back in my life would cause such a tidal wave of changes in me?”“Honesty can only take you so far eventually, you have to own up to the fact that you’re just being cruel. One thing I’ve learned over the years, intention matters.”“It dawns on me that since Charlotte has been here, my life has been filled with smiles and laughs.”Yaytext“Wouldn’t it be nice if we all lived in a world where we weren’t scared s******* to feel our feelings?”“I hate that I don’t know your favorite yet, so I got one of everything, but I promise I will be spending the rest of my life learning everything you like and spoiling you with it.”“It was like a fairy tale. A dirty fairy tale where the heroine has very dirty thoughts about the hero.”“To me, that’s the biggest grand gesture a woman can ask for a man who is willing to work on himself to be the best man he can be for the woman he loves. That’s a real man. I don’t need a flashing moment in front of the crowd; anybody can do that.”Will I recommend The Last Time by Nicole Baker? If you love the tropes mentioned, you should definitely read it.What are you reading next? Please add The Last Time by Nicole Baker to your reading list. Books Book Review: Made For You By Renee Harless 6:28 PM Did someone say arranged marriage and undeniable sparks? If you need a light, feel-good, romantic, spicy read, head down to Sunny Brook Farms. I’m honored to join the ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) team for the third book in this series. Without further ado, here’s my book review for Made for You by Renee Harless.Book SummaryBe a stranger’s wife for six months to secure his inheritance. That's the whirlwind proposal Aurora received from a hot guy she met in the hotel where she's attending a teacher's conference.Driven by hidden motives and revenge, she agrees. But as lines blur and affection blooms, Aurora craves for more. Facing the end of their contract, she realizes the one thing she wants is the one thing he refuses to give. At least, that’s what she thought.TropesArranged marriageAge gapBillionaire RomanceOpposites attract (Grumpy who only smiles for his Sunshine)Found familyAll the “My wife”No unnecessary 3rd act breakup The CharactersTalon BeckettHeir to the Wilder Hotels (the only person who gives a damn about their family business)Had a rough childhoodAurora “Rory” EasterlySmall-town teacherRomance reader“Peaches” of Talon“She reminded me of the early dawn. Bright and alluring. Her name suited her perfectly.” - Talon BeckettRating⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶🌶🌶🌶Book Review: Made for You by Renee HarlessMade For You is a delightful read filled with “my wife,” spice, and a heroine who chased back her passion. Out of the 3 books in the Sunny Brook series, this is my fave. What I like:It may be a marriage of convenience, but there was palpable attraction from the start. In fiction, I always find it adorable when two people enter a transactional marriage but end up falling head over heels for each other. Especially if one of them swore to never.Aurora. She’s basically Belle 2.0 for me: bookworm, sunshine personified, soft-spoken but a fierce defender of the voiceless. Beautiful with a kind and generous heart.Supportive fake husband. Talon gave her the support she needed - though she didn’t ask for it. She’s not a damsel in distress. But he helped her patch up the tapestry her ex shredded, so to speak. Sunny Brook sounds like a fictional wonderland: picturesque, heartwarming, and the perfect backdrop for a love story that starts practical and blooms into something seriously steamy.Spice. Talon may be a dirty talker. But the wholesome, sweetheart, small-town, sunshiny girl could give him a run for his money. Swoon. The “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” “Yeah, it is,” but he’s looking at her, not at the view (swoon!)GiphyBeyond the butterflies Aurora found her voice and stood up to her family. YAS QUEEN! Draco. Aurora’s cat.Easy read and fast-paced.Talon’s adorable grandma The ever-reliable DeanThe supportive side characters (except for one, but whose story I can’t wait to read about)Minor quibblesPacing & DetailsWhile the narrative is engaging, I believe the pacing could benefit from some adjustments. There are sections where I felt additional detail would elevate the story. For instance, delving deeper into the characters' emotional responses to key events or showcasing their conversations and text messages directly, rather than relying solely on narration, could significantly enhance the reader's experience.Wait, that's it?Would’ve loved to see the school principal get his comeuppance, too. Maybe I’m a bit vindictive that way. But what they did to Aurora was unfair.I expected something more during the confrontation with Rory’s family. I’ve just been reading books with alpha males; my standard is too high. 😅 Plus, my husband would’ve done more if it happened to me. (Really trying not to spoil anything here since, so forgive the vagueness).I’m sure most readers don’t mind this minor ‘hiccup.’ Again, it’s just me.TenorWill I recommend it?Yes. Anyone looking for a feel-good read with a side lot of steam would thank Renee Harless for this book. Favorite Quotes“Whatever my wife wants, my wife gets.”“It wasn’t a future I ever envisioned for myself, but every day that passed with Aurora as my wife, it became more and more clear. I was so f* in love with her.”“Forget the hotels and the money. Asking you to be my wife was the best damn decision I ever made.”What are you reading next? Please add Made For You By Renee Harless to your reading list. DoeSome people claim they don’t regret anything in life. Are you one of them? I’m definitely not. There are things I wish I’d have done differently. I just finished reading another advanced reader copy from a newly discovered author, and it made me think about my could have, should have, would have. Here’s my ARC review for It Should Have Been Us by Anna B. Doe.Book SummaryHe is the best man to her maid of honor. DoeIt was nice to return home to Bluebonnet, where I first met Becky and Miguel in the book Kiss Me First (Emmet and Kate). It Should Have Been Us made me laugh but also broke my heart and put me back together. This book is an excellent reminder that constantly thinking about the past and all the “what-ifs” can hold you back and stop you from finding happiness. Why I like it:Becky. I’ve adored Rebecca ever since Kiss Me First. She’s kind but feisty. She’s always there supporting Miguel and Emmet from football practices to games, rain or shine. You’ll want to have her in your corner. Unexpected bomb. Just when I thought this would be another book of funny banters and cute ex-lovers who found their way back together, Anna B. Doe dropped a bomb that gave me all. The. Feels. 😩Healing closure. I don’t like misunderstandings in books, but I like the closure they both get. Along the way, I understood why they acted the way they did. Roller coaster of emotions. I like it when the book serves different emotions. I laughed a few times. I’ve missed the verbal battle between Miguel and Becky. There is tension between them every time they’re around each other. There were tears and heartaches, not just for them but also for some people around them.Indeed, it’s the things we didn’t do that we regret the most. The worst feeling in the world is knowing you could make things right, but you let it slip away.Knowing you could have prevented it is the only thing worse than a broken heart. And I felt all that while reading what came down between this couple I’ve come to love. Will I recommend this book?If you’re into second-chance love stories with lots of heart-fluttering moments, heartwrenching pasts, steamy scenes, and hard-earned happily ever after, this is your jam.Favorite ScenesPre-wedding football game in the backyardSeeing my fave characters from Blairwood University (another sports romance series from Anna B. Books ARC Book Review: Where We Fall By Nicole Baker 5:00 PM ARC Book Review Where We Fall By Nicole Baker I've received another advanced reader copy from another favorite author of mine, Nicole Baker. Where We Fall is the third book in The Giannelli Series- Love in Little Italy. The release date is December 08 (my birthday!). Lexi and Marcus are another fictional couple that stole my heart. So, without further ado, here's my ARC review for Where We Fall by Nicole Baker.Book SummaryWhen an unexpected encounter jeopardizes their company's relationship with their top client, Marcus's siblings devise an unconventional plan. They propose that Marcus bring Lexi, their reserved and makeup-free IT Director, to the client's prestigious charity gala as his fake girlfriend. Despite Lexi's conservative style and timid nature, Marcus agrees to the charade in hopes of salvaging their business connection. As Marcus guides Lexi through a stunning transformation, he begins to notice more than just her physical changes. A newfound confidence emanates from Lexi, captivating Marcus in unexpected ways. As they keep playing the couple, Marcus can't help but feel drawn to Lexi on a deeper level. It's gone beyond playing pretend."I think getting us in each other's lives clearly wasn't enough. I was too blind. Fate needed to create a scenario that opened my eyes to what was right in front of me."The CharactersMarcusAccording to himself: The funny one, the idiot, the screw-up, the troublemaker. According to Lexi: That's just how Marcus is. He doesn't judge people by their shortcomings. He understands their past and chooses to be nice regardless of what is thrown at him. If there were more people like him in this world, we would be better off.LexiHardworking. Good daughter. IT genius. Doesn't wear makeup and wears baggy clothes almost twice her size. According to Marcus: Intelligent, bold, and kindhearted."I can tell underneath the glasses there's a pretty face. Perfectly feminine and elegant." TropesFake datingWorkplace romanceReformed playboyFun family dynamicsDual POVRating⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶🌶🌶🌶ARC Review: Where We Fall by Nicole BakerWhere We Fall is a romantic comedy novel with swoon and steam. Here are some reasons why I like it:1. Good pacing. It's a quick and easy read.2. They bring out the best in each other. Marcus and Lexi encouraged and inspired each other to be better versions of themselves. At first, I didn't like the idea of Marcus suggesting Lexi needs a makeover to fit his standards for a girlfriend. But they're faking the relationship, and Marcus has a point. They have to be believable. Everybody knows Lexi isn't his type. And Lexi needs to feel good about herself so she'd be comfortable being at Marcus's side. Marcus wasn't a douche about it; he was actually apologetic because he didn't want it to come out insulting or offensive.Later, you'll learn that Lexi was not dressing up how she wanted to. Her childhood upbringing was holding her back from showing her best self. Marcus made her realize that she could be better. He pushed her to spread her wings. Because of the physical transformation, Lexi found confidence. So, instead of hating Marcus for wanting to change her looks, you'll thank him for suggesting it.Lexi made Marcus realize his worth. She showed him his strength and taught him to stand up for himself. To show the world - and his family - how brilliant and capable he is at what he does.3. Perfectly imperfect together.Marcus and Lexi are that couple you won't expect to get together on paper, but they're perfect for each other. They both saw each other for who they were beyond the facade they wore for other people. And they helped each other realize and show their potential.4. The Gianellis. What can I say? Everyone's just charming, hot, and perfect. The Gianellis are as supportive and loyal to each other as always. You'd want to be a part of the family or be friends with these people. And attend their Sunday family dinner for the food (Italian family makes the best food, right?) and the laughter.5. Grand Gesture and Happy Ending. I'm a sucker for happily ever after! But I like the story more if I knew it's HEA-guaranteed, but it still makes me think about how they will work things out to get there. Who's gonna follow who? Are they going to compromise? So, it kept me on my toes.I like that Lexi puts her family first and that Marcus does the same, but they make it work even when they encounter a bump along the way. Will I recommend this book? 100% if you like the tropes. Favorite ScenesThe makeover (when Lexi realized she could be more than what she thought she deserved)The Charity GalaThe post-Charity Gala Marcus' library (every booklover's dream)Favorite Quotes from the BookBeing with her was like learning to breathe deeply for the first time. Books Book Review: Twisted Love By Ana Huang 3:42 PM Book Review: Twisted Love By Ana Huang I’ve recently started my Ana Huang era. She's amazing. I saw the low rating of the Twisted Series on Goodreads, but then I kept seeing it pop up on Instagram with raving reviews, so here we are. Here’s my book review of Twisted Love by Ana Huang.SummaryAlex Volkov is ice-hearted and has a haunting past he’s used to fuel his relentless push towards success and revenge. There is no room for love in his frozen heart. But when fate shackles him with the responsibility of caring for his best friend’s little sister, he feels a frosty shift within. “Perhaps I should be grateful he never smiled because if that was what he looked like while doing it…womankind didn’t stand a chance.”Ava Chen is a free spirit caged with a forgotten childhood memory. Her damaged history hasn’t tarnished her view of the world’s beauty. But the romance between her brother’s best friend and her? That’s a huge no-no.📷: Internet Marketing Ad“You are the only woman I have eyes for. Your enemies are my enemies, your friends are my friends, and if you wanted, I would burn down the world for you.”Love doesn’t play by the rules, as they soon learned. When it sparks between Ava and Alex, they find themselves on a sled ride toward explosive secrets that could incinerate what they cherish most."I hated how much I wanted her, and I hated that she wasn’t smart enough to run away from me while she still had a chance. Though, let’s be honest, it was already too late. She was mine. She just didn’t know it yet."TropesInterracial romanceClose proximity (neighbors)Off-limitsBrother’s best friendOpposites attractAnti-heroGrumpy vs SunshineSuspenseBook Review: Twisted Love By Ana Huang Twisted Love is intense, addictive, gripping, sexy, and angsty, but it's also funny, and swoony. Why I Like It:The coldhearted Alex falls in love. When Alex cracks open and shows strong emotions for Ava, it’s like watching a frozen lake thaw in fast-forward. Hot, hilarious, swoony. The suspenseful unfolding of the past. Aside from the budding romance between Alex and Ava, their complex, layered, mysterious past had me flipping the pages. I like that the suspense doesn’t steal the spotlight from the romance but spices up the storyline, keeping you on your toes. Sassy Ava. Ava is the kind of gal you’d want to be friends with. Sassy even when faced with a crazy jealous ex, funny, thoughtful, driven, with so much love to give. Plus, she can bake a mean red velvet dessert, and I have a sweet tooth, so there’s that. Ava’s friends. Her friends are fabulous - a real-life princess, a soon-to-be lawyer, and a gorgeous influencer - and they’re all supportive and loyal to each other.I despise alphaholes IRL, but authors can make them endearing. How he cares for, supports, and protects her overshadows his negative side. "You are cold and infuriating and, I admit, a little scary. But you are also patient and supportive and brilliant. You inspire me to chase my dreams and drive away my nightmares. You are everything I didn’t know I needed, and you make me feel safer than anyone else on the planet."Black ShirtDid it live up to the hype? It did for me. Will I recommend this book? Yes, if you like the tropes and don’t mind the author’s warning:This book contains a possessive, morally gray alphahole, explicit sexual content, and profanity. No cheating or menage, but if you’re looking for a traditionally sweet, loveable hero, this book is not for you. Books Book Review: Obsession Falls By Claire Kingsley 3:37 PM ARC Book Review: Obsession Falls by Claire Kingsley I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to receive my first advanced reader copy (ARC). Ever! It's a book written by one of my favorite romance authors, and its release date is October 12, 2023. Let's get this ARC book review of Obsession Falls by Claire Kingsley started.Book SummaryAudrey's back in her hometown with her Mom and spoiled Persian cat. Temporarily just until she found her footing again. She's gone through many job rejections that she reluctantly accepted a job at a local newspaper in the next town as a...well, she didn't even know the full job description. She was just winging it.When roomies turn to room-foes, thanks to Audrey's playful and energetic derpy dog who couldn't leave the cat alone, she grabs the first pet-friendly rental she sees. Enter Josiah - the grumpy hunky lumberjack neighbor and landlord doing some fixer-upper magic next door. After his past experiences, Josiah embraced the peaceful life of solitude.Sparks fly between these two despite the awkward and embarrassing meet-up. But when a creeper starts stalking Audrey, Josiah goes into full protective mode to keep her safe. GiphyTropesSmalltown romanceLandlord - TenantGrumpy loner - Sunshiny dog loverSuspense (Stalker)ARC Book Review: Obsession Falls by Claire KingsleyWhen Claire announced that she'd be writing about the Havens, I thought it would be awkward or odd because of their rivalry with the Baileys in the Bailey Brothers series (one of my fave small-town romance series). But that series ended so well that seeing the families here post-feud is heartwarming.I get a thrill every time a character I know is mentioned. It gives me that warm, nostalgic feeling like coming home for the holiday after a long time of being away. The story has a good blend of comedy, suspense, and romance.Claire Kingsley has a talent for writing likable characters. Despite being terrible at communicating, Josiah is a kind person, a good son, and a successful real estate mogul. Audrey remains optimistic and cheerful, even though life has thrown her some tough challenges.I love the chemistry between Josiah and Audrey. It's not as spicy as Claire's previous romance novels, but it still got some steam.I love returning to the quirky little town of Tilikum - home of my favorite Bailey brothers."I liked the quaintness and slow pace of Tilikum life." Audrey YoungWill I recommend this book? Definitely! I'm yet to read a Claire Kingsley book that I didn't enjoy.TumblrFavorite ScenesPicnicEvery scene of Max, the derpy dogEvery time the Tilikum squirrels are behaving the way they always have "The squirrels around here thought they owned the place." - Josiah HavenMy Book Rating4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 🌶🌶I enjoyed this book, and the only reason I'm not giving it a perfect 5 is that I could guess who the stalker was early on, and I love a suspense thriller that keeps me guessing until the end. That's just me, though. I see reviews saying they didn't see it coming. I guess I've been reading more detective series than I realize.I also expected the spice level to be the same as the previous series (they were really spicy), but that doesn't mean this book is missing the heat. Sparks are still flying. You will still swoon. You can say it's a personal preference, but it doesn't reflect how Claire Kingsley writes. She's still one of my favorite auto-buy authors, and I'll continue to devour all her books in the future.PinterestQuotes from the Book "Nice girls didn't belong with a$$holes like me. She was blue sky and sunshine, plucky optimism, and happiness. I was a stoic cloud of optimism and surliness. It would never work.""I liked him because he was gruff and stoic and sexy and surprisingly sweet under that surly lumberjack exterior.""I'm not leaving you unless you make me."What are you reading next? What are you reading this season? Books Small-Town Romance Novels To Binge Read: Miles Family Series 5:21 PM Small-Town Romance Novels To Binge Read: Miles Family Series It's Romance Awareness Month (yes, it's a thing!). So allow this humble romance novel addict reader (me!) to recommend her favorite small-town romance novels to binge-read. First on the list: The Miles Family by Claire Kingsley.1. Broken Miles (Miles Family Book 1)Tropes: Second Chance RomanceForced ProximityHighschool SweetheartsSummary: Broken Miles is focused on Roland, the eldest of the Miles brothers. He's a city slicker thriving in his career with a sophisticated condo and a fat paycheck. But one call from home changes everything. His family's cherished winery is in peril, and it's up to him to save it. This wasn't just a chance to rescue the family business; it was an opportunity to mend the ties he had been neglecting, which had frayed in his desperate attempt to escape a painful past and a heartbreak that still haunts him.But he finds the situation more tangled than a twisted vine when he gets there. The mess his father left behind is nothing compared to the events coordinator in his family's vineyard: Zoe Sutton. His ex. The no-nonsense woman who once shared his dreams but one day walked out, leaving behind his shattered heart.Zoe's family to his family. And they can be professional. Friendly even.Or so they thought.Working together in the family vineyard, old passions begin to stir. Can they navigate through the broken pieces of their past to find love again? Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶🌶🌶🌶I love this heartfelt journey of rediscovery, forgiveness, and love that could blossom once more. With her unstoppable spirit and fierce tenacity, Zoe became my instant favorite. And Roland? His relentless work ethic and deep loyalty to his family are admirable - though he was initially reluctant. Yeah, I like it when a grumpy and emotionless exterior slowly unravels. It's like watching chocolate melt in the fire. But what truly stole my heart was the undying ember of passion between Zoe and Roland. Despite a divorce that could have been the end, their connection sizzled and sparkled, refusing to be extinguished. They fell in love at 17, but their story never turned into mere youthful infatuation (it was just mentioned in the book, but the focus is the present Zoe and Roland). They were careless and had an epic time, but they also faced hurdles more serious than you'd expect from teenagers. And even more so when they finally married and moved to the city. And you know what their story reminds me? Communication. Is. Crucial! Simple talk and heartfelt conversations could rebuild bridges. 2. Forbidden Miles (Miles Family Book 2)Tropes:Childhood CrushOff-LimitsBrother's Best FriendSummary:Get ready for a fun, chaotic ride with the second installment of this captivating series by Claire Kingsley - Forbidden Miles! Her childhood crush on Chase has blossomed deeper, more intense, and utterly undeniable. Especially after that kiss - that one forbidden, electrifying kiss. The brothers disapprove. The winery's future hangs in the balance. And yet, Brynn and Chase are drawn to each other against all odds and reason. Will love triumph over family loyalty and unwritten rules? Can they weather the storm and find their happily ever after?Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶🌶🌶🌶Review:I adore the unfolding saga of the Miles family, and this book is no exception.Brynn, the baby sister with four overprotective brothers, isn't the little girl they remember. She's grown into a formidable, independent force who knows her heart and won't let anything stand in her way, not even the bond between her brothers and Chase.Speaking of Chase, what an in-between plays he's stuck in. Torn between his loyalty to Cooper and his growing, undeniable love for Brynn. But with Brynn's determination (or stubbornness), he fights for love, all while maintaining his loyalty to the Miles. And Cooper! Though he tries to play the tough guy, his protectiveness for his sister is downright endearing. My favorite part was when Cooper finally saw the truth in Chase's intentions with Brynn. It was both hilarious and emotional, like only Cooper can deliver. This story is about the realization that sometimes, love means letting go and trusting those we hold dear. Whether it's Brynn's courageous pursuit of her heart or Chase's delicate balance between friendship and love, this book has layers that will make you believe that love conquers all.3. Reckless Miles (Miles Family Book 3)Tropes: One-Night Stand RomanceSummary:Reckless Miles by Claire Kingsley is a story that will steal your heart and leave you with a big, goofy smile!Cooper Miles loves working in the field of their vineyard. He's adorable in the way he talks to the plants. He also knows how to party. But something shifted when he met Amelia Hale. The woman clad in a wedding dress at a bar. Her life has taken a completely unexpected detour. A casual kiss. An invitation back to her hotel. Nothing that this playboy couldn't serve. It was reckless. But not the wedding dress or Amelia's innocent inexperience unnerves him. No, it's how she makes him feel — these overwhelming, uncharted emotions both bewilder and enchant him.Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶🌶🌶🌶Review:At first glance, you might peg Cooper Miles as the perpetual bachelor, reveling in the joys and freedom that lifestyle provides. But trust me, there's so much more to uncover!Cooper's wit and childlike charm will catch you off guard and leave you smiling. He might seem like the least serious of the brothers, but don't let that fool you. The lengths he's willing to go to protect his family are touching and awe-inspiring.I love how Cooper has a nickname for everyone and speaks his own language. And when he meets Amelia, sparks fly, and it's like meeting his match made in heaven. Despite their differences in the dating game, they're two peas in a pod, each reflecting the other's personality in the most enchanting way.Their romance is a whirlwind adventure of emotions, especially for Cooper, who's unaccustomed to the twists and turns of true love. Being a part of their journey is like catching a refreshing breeze on a warm day, filled with surprises and joys that make you feel alive. So grab a cozy blanket, settle down with your favorite tea, and dive into this irresistible tale. Whether you're a hopeless romantic or just looking for a story with depth, warmth, and pure fun, this one's a winner. Cooper and Amelia's love story celebrates what it means to find your other half. You'll close the book with a contented sigh, feeling like you've gained new friends. 4. I think because I love Leo and his quiet but don't-eff-with-me-or-my-family demeanor. I love how he overcame his PTSD to save the woman he loves. The Miles Family is like a warm hug on a cold day. They understand his struggle, back him up no matter what, and love him unconditionally. Even when Leo sees himself as "damaged," they remind him of his worth. Then there's Hannah, the girl who sees right through Leo's scars to the remarkable person he truly is. She's a catalyst for change in Leo's life, helping him rediscover himself and who he can be. It was also noteworthy how she finally found the courage to free herself from a toxic relationship.I love how Leo and Hannah find comfort and solace in each other. They're teammates, helping each other grow and heal. This is a reminder that love is a transformative force. It's about resilience and putting the other person's needs over yours and finding satisfaction in doing it.The right kind of family is like a safety net, ready to catch you whenever you fall. So, if you're in the mood for a story that feels real, warm, bit magical in the most down-to-earth way, give this one a go. You might love it as much as I do. Note: There is a fifth Miles novella called Gaining Miles. It's the story of their mom and their loyal family friend and employee who's more like a father to them than their own biological dad.
