Decorating Your Garden Shed

Your garden shed does not have to be utility storage only.

Adding color, furniture, and decors can turn it into a vibrant sanctuary for you.

Here are 3 easy steps to help you in decorating your garden shed.

3 Easy Steps in Decorating Your Garden Shed

1. Use vibrant colors

Have 2 or 3 complementary colors and paint different sections of the paneling.

This will add a bit of personality and life to the space.

Use a color that will go with the overall décor of your garden.

If you're looking for a coastal feel to the garden you should look at colors such as emerald slate and barley wood.

2. Try neutral colors

If you have a large shed, you might want to consider a neutral or cool color for the outside to give the shed a homey feel.

Have contrasting neutral colors with a bold shade inside the shed-like lavender.

Unexpected bursts of color seen through the window or open door can create an atmosphere of comfort.

3. Use accessories

Painted flower pots and comfortable garden chairs can be used to accessorize the shed.

Upcycling some crates can also increase the amount of storage inside the shed while keeping the rustic look that you want.

Accent colors should also be considered when you look at the furniture in your shed.

4. Utilize space

Limited space in their gardens should not stop you from creating your own garden shed oasis.

Be creative.

You can create the illusion of space by using a lighter color for the interior of the shed.

  1. I loooove garden sheds and I like to have as a retreat with nice things, to relax! Using colours is so nice, to create the perfect mood, that we may need on "different days". I loved our blog! Hope you have a nice day!

  2. We don’t have shed (or decent size garden) but if we did, it would be fun to do some painting and decorating :-)
