Don't Stop Trying

12:14 AM

Making mistakes is a sign that you are making progress.

Don't stop trying.

I notice that every time I am nearing my finish line for a certain goal, when a breakthrough is about to happen, when great blessings are on its way, something terrible happens. A trial or a delay gets in the way.

I get discouraged and I sometimes pause to question God.

But always, my faith would intervene. I could only hold on and believe that I am almost there! I am an inch away from the prize!

Don't stop trying.

Making mistakes is a sign that you are making progress.

That was the message at last Sunday's Kerygma Conference I attended. Not making mistakes is not trying, which is the biggest mistake you could commit.

You are not your mistakes. You are not your past. You are not your failures.

They play a great part in your growing, in your way to your goals, but they do not define you. So, don't stop trying.

Don't let your mistakes stop you from becoming the great person you were destined to be.

Don't let your past failures keep you from moving forward.

The world needs your light to make it brighter.

Don't stop trying.

Tap into the Force that has always been in you and see yourself become the miracle you have always wanted to become.

  2. I do the same thing... I go along and do the things I need and just before I get to my goal I give into doubts... I just took a huge leap of faith and doing some things I need to to get to where I want, you should have seen all the things that came along to upset me... this time, it was blatant... so I just rolled my eyes and pushed through... I hope I always see those challenges as trials to succeed... It is not easy :) This is a wonderful post, honest and sincere xox

    1. I like the part that you have to roll your eyes and push through. It's like saying, "Oh, please. Get outta my way I'm on my way to success." Haha. Thanks, Launna. May you continue to push through despite the difficulties.

  9. Life is not perfect and it's made that way so we keep on trying. Hang on there, the tide turns to your side without even noticing it.

  10. Hi Lux! Oh my, do I agree with you! It does seem like finish lines just bring out the enemy, trying to force us away. Let's not let that happen! Keep on working, keep on going. I was writing much the same idea the other day. We are so powerful when we are with God, why wouldn't we attract some barriers?
I love this, and I'm grateful to read it as I start my day.
    Blessings to you!

  24. It does seem like things get harder the closer I get to a finish line. If circumstances don't intervene and make things difficult, then I get in my own way. I lose motivation, find other things to occupy my time, whatever it takes to keep from that moment when you discover if you will fly or fall.

Great post, and thanks for visiting my blog!

  25. Hi Lux,

Oh my, I think I need a t-shirt or bright shiny badge with - I will never stop trying... sometimes we can feel weary though, can't we. Thankfully we have our running partner with us, cheering us on our way.
Thanks for your encouraging post :-)

  26. Not giving up - a great message. Thomas Eddison didn't give up trying to perfect his incandescent light bulb, even after thousands of failed experiments. He persisted one more time, and yet another, and another until he eventually succeeded. His bulb out-shined or outshone (pun incidental) those of numerous other inventors. In our pursuit of following Christ we may stumble or trail behind, but isn't it wonderful that God gives us strength and encourages us along the way, as we keep our hearts and minds focused on Jesus?~~+~~
