Dance In The Rain

9:00 AM

Dance In The Rain

We have to work hard, we have to work smart
We need to invest our money and save it...we need to start
We've got to deal with heartbreaks, we have to feel some pain
When all we really need to do is to dance in the rain.

I know growing old is inevitable, but do we really need to grow up?
What’s wrong with being a child inside, it’s not like we'll get stuck.
We just have to hold on to that innocence and sense of wonder
and not be afraid to fail,
We must not let go of that magic we get when we dance in the rain.

We need to see the world in the purest, most uncomplicated way
Stop the unnecessary war, end this greedy, selfish play
All these innocent lives taken, homes broken and the world destroyed
What is there really to gain?
Stop this world destruction now, come let’s dance in the rain.

If we only learn to love like a child; no buts no ifs,
Only honesty, kindness and truth leave our lips
Then we can all live in prosperity and harmony, no one will complain
Maybe we can all run under the sun or dance in the rain.

When was the last time you danced in the rain?

Wait! I've got more stories for you...

  1. Lovely! Both the words and the overall sentiment. It's too easy for us to get distracted and miss the joy that's in the journey.

  2. Beautiful post, Lux! We can learn a lot from children; animals, too! They don't worry about tomorrow, they don't complain, they just enjoy the moment! As for myself, I have always loved the rain! :) Besides, we can only see a rainbow after the rain. :)

  3. Oh Wow! I love this.. I lllllloooooovvvee it aswear.. Yu know yeah Bubba... This line got me the most.. You know the one where you went;

"I know growing old is inevitable, but do we really need to grow up?"

I literally ask my 23 years 7 months 27 days old confused self that kweshion daily.. Do we really need to grow up?! Like really Really?! When i was a child.. We used to hope for rain.. Not so we could cuddle up and drink hot tea.. But so we could go under the rain and have lotsa fun.. thennn get a cold days later and be shouted on by papa ( It didnt matter afterwarll, we had the fun under the rain when we could).. Today aYam 23 and old.. And i pray for the rains so i can cuddle up and drink tea.. I run from the rain in search of shelter.. and sitting down here with my legs crossed on this jangolova cahir **Winks.. i ask ME where the child in me went.. Where the fun part of the world went.. How it all passed and i didnt pay attention to its passing.. It is weird Lux.. It is weird cause I grew up even without knowing...

You know ehn Bubba.. I think its the same thing that happened in me subconsciousl, that also happened in teh world baby mi... As I grew.. So did the world... so did hate.. So did envy.. So did wickedness.. Its sad Lux.. very sad...

Ooooossshheeey Turn uP!.. This is my most favorite post on here thus far.. I am in love of the wisdom spewed on it.... Cheers Bubba.. More inspiration to your amazing mind is my wish for you.. :) xx and the crowd goes Ammmmmeeeeen.

  4. Hi there.. it's my first time here.. I truly love this post..
I always wish to be a kid again.. all that innocence, all those moments when you think nothing but to have fun...if we can only turn back time.
i can hardly remember the last time I dance or play in the rain... maybe I have to bring the kid out of me and play in the rain for an hour or two ... must be very fun..

  5. Absolutely lovely.
My inner child is frequently the healthiest part of me. And almost always the happiest part of me.
And I have danced in the rain often. And hope to continue to do so.

  8. Great thoughts and perspective. Growing old is inevitable, so one must strive to live life, follow dreams and pursue happiness at all times. But more importantly, retain the magic of childhood memories.

  9. Hi, dear Lux! Dancing in the rain is cathartic. The act of dancing changes your physiology. When you change your physiology your mental state follows the lead. I was taught that you can't stay angry, bitter, sad or depressed if you smile, sing and dance. It really works. Try it. I made a commitment to myself many years ago that I would stay forever young. I have kept my word. I am not willing to let old age take me over. I do whatever it takes to fight the aging process. I will never give up and I will never give in. I keep a youthful spirit. I am curious. I am thankful for life's simple pleasures. I love abundantly and unconditionally. I forgive.

    Thank you, dear friend Lux!

  10. We really did have opportunity to dance in the rain in Texas this year. Much more rain than usual, and most of the time it was a steady downpour. I have to admit, I didn't take the opportunity to walk in it.

  16. It's been a long time since I danced in the rain. Not because I wouldn't dance in the rain, but you need rain to dance in. We are in a severe drought here. I'll be glad to dance in the rain when it rains.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  58. Very sweet thoughts. And Christ encouraged us along these lines as well :) >> "Then he said, "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven." (Matthew 18:3, NLT) Something to be learned from watching the beauty found in children!
