Fashion & Style Be Chic For Less: Sammydress Review 8:40 AM Be Chic For Less With Sammydress Who doesn't like chic and cheap? That's my go-to when it comes to fashion. I like to look good but I don't like spending too much on an item. I think every practical woman does. The good news is, you can be chic for less with Sammydress. Sammydress is perfect for every frugal chic out there. I'm so glad I partnered with them. Do I like it? Yes! Here's why: So. Many. Options. From women's needs (dresses, tops, bottoms, swimwear, plus size, active wear, intimates, etc.) to men's, kids', accessories (shoes, hair, bags) and even home and garden need, options are almost endless. Descriptive. On their website, you'll see not just the image and description of the item you want to buy. There is also a conversion calculator for your size (cm to inch and inch to cm), specifications (color and sizes available), processing time, product notes (example: The clothing is smaller than the international size for one size), size chart, reviews, questions, wholesale option, and similar recommended products. Most of your questions when you're buying online is answered on their page. What I bought (Click individual image to view in full size) I love the beach and so I ordered some beach attires. Got these two swim suits. These will be perfect for my next vacation. Accessories not included Onto the verdict Price Items are reasonably priced. Quality Love it! For the items I bought, I have no complaints over the material's quality. When they say it's polyester and spandex, it really is polyester and spandex. Not just a cheap imitation. The colors are vivid, the design is as what you see online. It fits just right. Shipping time I think this is my only problem. Not because they didn't deliver on the day they promised but because I'm outside US and the shipping time takes longer, and our post office is well, unlike any other to put it mildly. Customer service There are so many horror stories about online shopping; the items they receive aren't the same with the ones they ordered, the material is rubbish, no reply from the customer service, refund not allowed, etc. None of that has been a problem with Sammydress. Questions have been answered courteously and on time, my concerns were taken care of without delay. Two thumbs up! It's so comfy to wear. I like the feel of it, I like the look of it, I like that it's packed in zip locked bags, and that there's a seal on the bathing suit for sanitary purposes. I was planning to wear them on my next vacation and post about it then but it seems nature is not on my side. Typhoon after typhoon is hitting our country, so I can't go to the beach without risking my safety. I will post wearing them as soon as the bad weather's gone. For now, these are all I could post. But, take my word for it. You wouldn't regret shopping at Sammydress. You'll love the quality (as I do), you'll get your money's worth, and you'll be communicating with a really friendly, helpful staff. Fashion & Style That Dresslink Wishlist Came True 5:00 PM That Dresslink wishlist I had? It came true. A few days ago, I got my package. You see, it's fairly easy to shop at Dresslink. (1) Register here. (2) Choose the item you want. They're organized by categories (What's New, Special Offers, Baby's & Kids, Women, etc.). When you hover on each tab, you'll see that some have subcategories. Women for example has dresses, tees, shawls and the like. (3) Browse and choose. You can easily see the reviews of previous customers, the price, and the ietm description. (4) Click the item and choose your size, color choice, quantity. (5) You may opt to Buy It Now or Add To Cart. You may even create your own Wishlist if you're still undecided and go back to finalize your orders later. (6) Choose your payment method. There are several ways and the number of days the items will arrive is indicated on each method. That's it. The Verdict The items were inside a resealable plastic bag packed individually. Here they are straight outta packaging. Don't expect optimum quality as they're not expensive to begin with. But I'm not saying the products aren't good. For me they are priced right given the quality of the items. Just to set your expectations though, the dress came with these (like extra threads) on both sleeves and back. May not be the case for all dresses. No biggie. Nothing a pair of scissors can't solve. There's only enough space for your phone, cards or wallet, car key, a few beauty essentials and whatnot. It's elegant looking so I like it. New Women's Warm Winter Skinny Slim Leggings Stretch Pants Thick Footless Tights It's ideal for cold weather because they really are warm and thick. It fits me perfectly. [shoes and accessories: my own, top: my sister's :)] Women Fashion Jeggings Stretch Skinny Leggings Tights Pencil Pants Casual Snowflake Pattern Jeans We hear jeggings and we think it's jeans that's extra stretchable and comfortable like leggings. But this one's actually leggings that looks like jeans. I already know that prior to ordering because I've read it on the customer reviews section. It really does look like jeans when you wear it. That's what I like about it. [top and shoes: my own] Fashion Ladies Women Sequin Decoration O-neck Short Sleeve Patchwork Casual T-shirt This shirt is not cotton material and it's almost see through. The size (medium) is smaller than we expected as it's exactly my fit and I'm normally size small with shirts. I think if you want to buy this, you consider a size larger just to be on the safe side. Books Book Review: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell 1:35 PM Book Review: Fangirl (Rainbow Rowell) While I found Fangirl didn't quite live up to Eleanor & Park, I loved the relatable main character Cath and fell hard for Levi, whose warmth made this fun novel feel like coming home to hot chocolate on a cold day. Book Review: Fangirl by Rainbow RowellI just finished reading another young adult novel by Rainbow Rowell, Fangirl. After enjoying Eleanor & Park, I had high expectations for this book, which is why I feel Fangirl pales in comparison. Nevertheless, Rowell succeeded in making me fall in love with the main character, Levi, and his infectious smile. I can relate to Cath because, like her, I’m a fangirl myself. While I don’t spend countless hours writing fan fiction online, I understand what it’s like to obsess over a magical world and its characters. I grew up with the Harry Potter characters and feel protective of them, just as Cath is about her favorite characters, Simon and Baz. I could easily stay up late discussing all the "could-have-beens" and "what-might-have-beens" with other HP fans. I prefer to avoid social obligations and dislike attending parties, so I find Cath’s character to be relatable. Fangirl is a fun and entertaining novel. It offers a glimpse into two worlds: Cath’s life and the fictional universe she adores. Reading Fangirl makes you wish you had a sister or a friend like Cath, especially if you enjoy writing or love fiction. It also makes you long to meet someone as warm and comforting as Levi. Having a boyfriend like him feels akin to coming home to a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows on a cold, windy day. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell inspires you to head to the nearest Starbucks for a hot Gingerbread Latte Grande!Happily ever after, or even just together ever after, is not cheesy.It’s the noblest, like, the most courageous thing two people can shoot for. Friends who understand how you're feeling without you having to explain anything. That's the kind of friendship I share with Doug. The fictional main character in How to Talk to a Widower. How to Talk to A Widower by Jonathan Tropper Book Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐How to Talk to a Widower is hilarious but poignant. It's unpretentious, realistic, and easy to relate to. It's very human.Why I love How to Talk to a WidowerI know exactly what it means to act as normally as possible for the world to see.I know how hard it is to hold on to something you used to have but isn't there anymore.I know how awful it is to deal with something that happened so abruptly, so suddenly, and how cruel it is that the world won't even give you enough time to let it sink in before it moves on.I know how crazy it is to get pissed, then feel guilty about getting pissed, and then get pissed about feeling guilty.I know how difficult it is to cry yourself to sleep, wake up without feeling the purpose of waking up anymore, but get up anyway and show the world you're still okay.I just know how messed up Doug felt, and I'm glad he made me realize I'm not alone, even if he's just a fictional character.If you like how informal and raw The Catcher in the Rye is, I think you'll like How to Talk to a Widower too.The characters are ordinary and flawed. Their relationships are dysfunctional and, well, normal.It doesn't have a happily-ever-after ending, and that's the other beautiful thing about it. The story goes on.Doug moves on, but he takes his sweet time. Hailey, his deceased wife, will always be a part of him.The way he refuses to forget about her, even after over a year, made me wish I had a Doug, too.Even when women throw themselves at him, he remains loyal to her memory.Yes, he dated again and even so humanly and irrationally jumped into something he shouldn't have, but at the end of the day, it's still Hailey.Laughing and grieving with Doug was a refreshing experience. I feel alive…and normal again.Soulmate in a book I felt like I had found a soulmate in Doug, the widower in the story. I admire his frailty. He grieved because he had to. He didn't like the shallowness of the people around him. He loved Hailey with all his heart.Recommend it?Yes. The honesty in this book is really refreshing.
