When The Devil Tries Too Hard

When The Devil Tries Too Hard

When The Devil Tries Too Hard

It is when I’m close to reaching my goal, feeling joyful, or planning a promising project, when the devil tries too hard to steal my happiness.

I’ve read somewhere that you’ll know if you’re really close to your dreams when the devil is working double time to delay you, discourage you, and make you quit. He tries to take away everything important to you to distract you.

Sometimes he even sends people---friends, relatives, significant other into our lives to distract us. Be careful what and with whom you are spending most of your time with.

Ask yourself, is this a distraction or a blessing? Are they bringing you closer to your dreams or are they pulling you away?

Remember: you are made to do great things.

The enemy doesn’t have to do anything major to stop you. He only needs to take your eyes off of God. What happens next is up to you.

When the devil tries too hard, always find the strength to stand up again and shake it off.

Despite your weakness and vulnerability, God won’t let His child be defeated.

"That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions,
in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:10

The devil would usually take away the things that you’ve been holding closest to your heart. This is to break your spirit and make you turn away from God.

Remember that when you have God, you have everything you need. God will always provide you of what you NEED.

As a mere mortal, I am flawed. I admit that sometimes, I let bad things discourage me.

When you lose a loved one,
when an investment failed,
when a plan didn't go as expected,
when someone hurt you,

It's easy to question God's presence. No wonder a lot of people turn their backs from faith.

I’m sure he’s laughing so hard just by watching me fail and feel lost.

But in the end, I realized that it’s really up to you if you let him win.

You can either look at things from a victim’s perspective or with victor’s mindset.

Don't let loneliness be your destination. Let it only be part of your journey; to hone you, to make you stronger.

No matter how hard it gets, or how many distractions the devil tries to throw your way, don’t take your eyes off God.

The next time you’re feeling weak, just remember that you are an inch closer to your dreams and victory.

Why do you think the devil tries so hard? He knows he’s losing the battle, that’s why.

Bible verses to help you get through the tough times

When the devil tries too hard, remember these passages:

  1. I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten--the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm--my great army that I sent among you. --- Joel 2:25

  2. After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had before. --- Job 42:10

  3. The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. --- Psalm 121:7

  4. I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. --- Philippians 4:13

  5. Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. ---James 1:3

  6. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. ---1 Peter 1:7

  7. The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. --- Psalm 23:1

  8. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD. I come to you for protection. ---Psalm 143:9

  9. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. ---Psalm 91:11

  10. God, your God, will restore everything you lost; He'll have compassion on you; He'll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.

No matter how far away you end up, God, your God, will get you out of there and bring you back to the land your ancestors once possessed. It will be yours again.

He will give you a good life and make you more numerous than your ancestors

God, your God, will cut away the thick calluses on your heart and your children's hearts, freeing you to love God, your God, with your whole heart and soul and live, really live.

God, your God, will put all these curses on your enemies who hated you and were out to get you. And you will make a new start, listening obediently to God, keeping all his commandments that I'm commanding you today.

God, your God, will outdo himself in making things go well for you: you'll have babies, get calves, grow crops, and enjoy an all-around good life.

Yes, God will start enjoying you again, making things go well for you just as he enjoyed doing it for your ancestors. But only if you listen obediently to God, your God, and keep the commandments and regulations written in this Book of Revelation.

Nothing halfhearted here; you must return to God, your God, totally, heart and soul, holding nothing back. This commandment that I'm commanding you today isn't too much for you, it's not out of your reach.

It's not on a high mountain - you don't have to get mountaineers to climb the peak and bring it down to your level and explain it before you can live it. And it's not across the ocean - you don't have to send sailors out to get it, bring it back, and then explain it before you can live it. --- Deuteronomy 30:3-13
